Caleb Dorsey

GROUP VICE PRESIDENT (MEMBER)

Caleb is a founder of OS Dry and leads the shipbroking group. He started his career in 2008 with Lalemant USA, the US business unit of the eponymous Belgium-based shipbroker. He moved to Simpson, Spence & Young in 2014, subsequently rose to be a Vice President of Dry Bulk, and left the company in 2023 to form Ocean Solutions Dry.

Mr. Dorsey holds a BS in Economics from Montana State University and is a graduate of NOLS Alaska.

Theodore (Teo) Tsagaris

VICE PRESIDENT (MEMBER)

Teo is a founder of OS Dry.  He is experienced in chartering dry bulk vessels in various capacities including COA’s, single voyages, and varying lengths of time charter. He has held a variety of roles in the USA as well as China. In his previous role Mr. Tsagaris was a Vice President of the dry cargo desk for Simpson Spence & Young in their Stamford Office.

Mr. Tsagaris holds a BA from Sacred Heart University’s John F. Welch college of business.

Mike Beatty

BROKER

Mr. Beatty began his shipping career in 1987 with Kristian Jebens Rederi A/S Shipping Group in their North American offices working in positions with increasing responsibility through their various offices concluding his tenure as the chartering director for the Jensen Orients shipping service in Manila, Philippines. Mr. Beatty then pivoted to cargo brokerage, and has had the good fortune to work for many years for the leading U.S. petroleum coke shipper on their chartering.  He has executed solutions for detailed operational issues to provide trouble free performance for his clients’ dry cargo needs. Mr Beatty has also built long relationships with various solid fuels charterers focusing on coal and wood pellets.

Mr. Beatty is a graduate of Temple University and served in the US Navy.

Mike Ring

SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER

Mike started his career in shipping in 1988 and has worked in various sectors of the industry including: Tug & Barge Operations, on board and ashore, both wet and dry cargoes, stevedoring, and cargo loading/discharge operations for a wide range of dry bulk cargoes. Mike joined Simpson, Spence, Young in 2006 and served as Head Operations Manager until 2023, leaving to join Ocean Solutions Dry as Senior Operations Manager. His experience allows him to provide clients with smooth execution of their voyages/charters. Mike has experienced an array of complications in the supply chain that allows him to recognize and resolve issues for our clients in a timely and efficient manner.

Mr. Ring is a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy and holds a BS in Nautical Science and an associates degree in Business Management.

Vicki Levine

OPERATIONS,  SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Vicki brings over 45 years experience working in the shipping industry at International Chartering Services.  She has experience in various aspects of dry cargo chartering including long term period time charters, COA’s, and single voyages in the handy/handymax/supramax/panamax/cape markets from fixture negotiations through finalization of the voyage.  Vicki served in various roles within International Chartering Services culminating as Operations Manager before joining Ocean Solutions Dry in 2023.

Malak Ibrahim

OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

Mal is a graduate of California Maritime Academy’s Class of 2022 with a BS in International Business and Logistics and is fluent in French, Arabic and English.

Mal interned with World Bank in the summer of 2022 for a project “Supporting Egypt’s Education Reform” – a program that focuses on the bettering of the education system for all public schools in Egypt.

She joined Ocean Solutions LLC in January 2023 handling various operational tasks such as onboarding, invoicing, and billing for the FFA desk, and then transferred to Ocean Solutions Dry in July of 2023.

George Dorsey

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD, DIRECTOR (MEMBER)

Mr. Dorsey has over 40 years of experience trading physical commodities and investing in companies active in oil refining, chemicals, solid fuels, minerals, and metals. Mr. Dorsey also has significant experience on Wall Street and has served as an operating advisor for a number of private equity firms. He was instrumental in the acquisition of Coffeyville Resources out of the Farmland bankruptcy by Pegasus Capital Management, the acquisition of the Traxys Group from Arcelor by a consortium of private equity investors, and other similar transactions.

Mr. Dorsey has a BA from the University of Vermont and studied China in the Asian Studies Masters program at the University of Kansas. Mr. Dorsey has also participated in Harvard Business School executive courses.
